Was diagnosed with hyper thyroid Graves disease 4 yrs ago. Labs all over the place. Gain 2 pounds a month steadily and hardly eat. My stomach looks pregnant, hair loss, bones hurt etc. New primary care doctor listens and knows about thyroid issues. We decided to try Levothyroxine since methimazole does not seem to be doing much to level me off at all. Should I be taking this medication for graves/hyperthyroid??
I too am in the HYPER range (.90 two weeks ago without meds) without a DX but have both hyper and hypo symptoms. An ENT put me on 150 mcg of synthroid (generic Levo). I've been taking it two weeks now. No relief so far. My biggest complaints are a rather large thyroid nodule and horrible, horrible body pain all day. Worse in the am. I've had lots of symptoms for five years. This is getting very old. I hardly ever see posts about hyper labs and Sythroid use. Did you have any luck? I'm looking forward to your reponse. Any life line is a blessing. I hope you see my response. Your post was in March. I'm crossing my fingers. Melissa-
