The Dr I see talks like sjogrens only causes dry eyes and dry mouth. So is pain a symptom, because I have on going pain pretty much in my entire body. I am so tired, I have some days when I almost feel like I have the flu. I do have hotchimoto thyroid disease. I take synthroid for that. Have been going through severe hives and angioadema for three plus months. This is crazy!
Your doctor is misinformed, like so many doctors are about everything it seems. It's unfortunate.
Sjögrens is a systemic autoimmune disease, and there are differences in primary vs. secondary Sjögrens syndrome. I have Sjögrens and I have had muscle and joint pain, swollen glands, brain fog, and many other symptoms based on whether I'm in a flare or not.
And, Sjögrens often comes with other illnesses. Most often Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
