... methocarbomol 750mg two 2x a day as well with Tylenol #3 so I'm wondering what else I could ask for or have him change to get help with my degenerative disk disease. I also take Prozac 60mg once a day and vyvanse 70mg once a day
For chronic pain the extended release meds are better. T3 isn't the best med for break thru pain. Something without Tylenol is preferable. Don't approach the dr about a specific medication, it makes you look like a drug seeker to them. Just ask him if there is anything better your not getting relief. Tell him what it is you can't do because of pain.
I am not a doctor, nor do I know your condition or history, I just wanted to relate my experience
I noticed you also take 70mg vyvance. I have some ADD and suffer extreme fatigue from my CMT and I also am raising kids. So my doctor put me on adderall, it worked great, but I found out after a while that my pain got worse, basically it.allowed me to do more than my body could handle. When I quit I found that I was able to control my pain better. Just wanted to share that with you.
I know how hard it is to rest and let your body heal when you are used to be up going all the time. Remember to take the time to take care of your self. : )
Also, I agree with the others that Tylenol #3 seems inappropriate, and that oxycodone is more commonly
used: for breakthrough pain in severe cases.
