... them?she's been taking them for about 6 yrs.please help me??
You need to decide if you want this to go on her permanent medical record or not? And if you think you can deal with it between yourselves?
I would recommend enlisting some help, whether through her dr or a private rehab facility. If she's been on them for 6 years coming off them is going to be really hard. She will have withdrawal effects, physical and mental, and you have to be really careful because she won't be thinking straight and if you do it alone you are going to have to be there for her WHENEVER she needs you, to prevent her doing something drastic? The best way is to wean off slowly. I don't know how many tabs she is on? But i would suggest dropping one tab for 4 - 7 days, then drop one more for the next 4 - 7 days, etc, etc. You can help her feel better by giving her multi vitamins, and L-Tyrosine are excellent, can take up to 6 a day and are completely natural.
She will probably have trouble sleeping also so you will need to be armed with something to help her with this. Plenty of walks and fresh air help, as much as she is physically able. And baths. And most importantly something to focus on! Start a project (nothing too heavy), read a book, etc.
I have been taking pain medication for a while myself due to a back injury , I am taking percocet 5/325 I am having a very hard time coming off of this and I have only been on it for 1 year & half .
A good question to ask is if SHE wants to come off them , if she doesn't then you are gonna be running in circles until she does want to . She has to want to help herself first . The second question is does she really need them ? Was she hurt or have some kind of accident where the pain has to be managed by pain medication ? If she wants to come off I would say go to your personal dr tell him the truth about everything and he / she will be able to help you .
I hope that you can get some help & answers from here , these people on here are great about helping and have some great answers !
Best of luck .
