You can if they aren't 5/500. If you are in the usa for you just got the prescription they are not 5/500 because it legally can't have 500 of tylenol in them.
Not unless your Dr authorizes it, the Internet is not a good source for this authorization, and since it's so controlled, your Dr will frown upon your changing the dose based on anything other than his/her authorization.
You can take ibuprofen along with the pain meds. It will probably help more with swelling than the Tylenol in your hydrocodone. You should contact your dr/dentist if your pain is still that bad. They'll be able to ok upping your dose of hydrocodone or give you other options. Good luck!
