Hydrochlorothiazide is used in the treatment of high blood pressure; edema; diabetes insipidus; nephrocalcinosis; osteoporosis and belongs to the drug class thiazide diuretics. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy. Hydrochlorothiazide is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).

Masso, I was just wondering, is hydrochlorothiazide hard on the kidneys, if taken it long term to keep blood pressure down, when blood pressure is higher due to anxiety? You seem a good person to ask about side effects. "G"
