i am a 68 year old female who has been diagnosed with nephorgenic diabetes insipidous and looking for another women with this condition.
Yes, I do have the problem: Diabetes Insipidous and I'm a female 67 yrs old. Dealing with side effects of Hydrochlorothiazide having pins & needles feelings all over my body and could not be in sun not more than 5 minutes before having all these side effects. I, too, felt like I was the only one having this problem. Also having tender gums in my mouth, can't chew hard, crunchy foods. Your question was posted 10 Apr. 2012. My PCP is now trying to find another medication substitute or checking on why I'm having side effects like this. I was drinking and peeing 2 gallons of liquids a day. This is why I was put on Hydrochorothiazide. The meds worked on me fantastic until I got the side effects after almost 2 months on medication.
