Humira reduces the effects of a substance (tumor necrosis factor alpha) in the body that can cause inflammation.
Humira is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and can be used alone or in combination with methotrexate - you will need to check with your doctor.

Humira works much better with methotrexate. It's their combination that make them more effective. I've been on both for about three years now. It is so worth it. I've also been on sulfasalazine. It's a great pain killer too.
