I have psoriatic arthritis and ulcerative colitis. After I have a colonoscopy next week, my rheumatologist and I will be talking about either Humira or Enbrel. Is there anyone who can speak to Humira's help with both of these conditions?
I'm 55 years old and have both conditions. My rheumatologist first put me on Enbrel but it caused so much nausea we went to Humira. Pain grew worse after a couple years and I was put on methotrexate injections and celebrex 100mg. 2x a day. I'm now under Pain Management due to a car wreak causing damage to my spine and discs in my back. At age 12 I was first diagnosed with spastic colon. It continued to worsen through the years to the point it was so severe, I couldn't make it to the bathroom. I eventually had to go on disability. The Humira did help, but when I have a bad flare up I still have to take Lotronex 1mg. twice a day and Bentyl 2 tab. 3 times a day just until my stomach is normal again. Sorry the post is so late, I just found this site yesterday. Hope this helps!
