I have terrible back pain and trying to ease the pain. My pain is so bad I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning's !
Lorcet is hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is a short acting opioid and indicated for moderate to moderately severe pain. It works quite well for back pain. It should be used short term as it is habit forming or addictive. It is a good place to start. Is your back pain chronic or is this a new condition for you? Did you recently hurt it? Does the pain come and go-you may be ok for a couple of months then you move a certain way and it is back or do you have constant pain every day? Have you had any diagnostic test done-xrays, CT scan MRI? Chronic every day severe pain might be better treated by a long acting opioid preparation.
maybe you could try some type of sports patches during sleep, and keep a bottle water and your medication next to your bed, that way if its real bad if you have a tv like me, you can flip it on, take a dose of your medication and wait till it kicks in a little, or what i mostly do is stretch slowly, hope this helps. leanne
