Please discuss this with your doctor ... it is very important that you inform your doctor that you wish to stop taking sertraline. Your doctor should give you a tapering down dose and needs to monitor you while you are weening off.
Hello jasonransdell: From Sacosams "For what it's worth dept." I was at 150mg. of sertraline for 3 yrs. (8 yrs. total). I came down to 100mg. by dropping 25mg./week for 2 weeks (14 days!). When I thought it was time to get off it, I did the same thing... ie... 25mg. of sertraline /7days... or ... 25mg./week. had a few very minor problems , no hassels. Hope this helps ! ! Sacosam
