I have had reservations about using Enbrel because of the warnings about infections. Has anyone dealt with increased infections while on the drug? Can you give details. I have been living with Psoriasis on my skin throughout much of my life... all be it moderate. Now, in my late 30s, I am having a lot more joint pain in my hands, feet, lower back and hips. This sounds like a good drug, but I don't want to trade one problem for a new set of issues.
The only thing I can tell you how it affected me. I loved the drug and stayed on it for over 2 yrs. I was completely pain and psoriasis free. Due to turning 65 and going on medicare, it does not pay for injections. So it will all depend on your age and if you can pay. Also, consider if you go off of it the psoriasis will return worse than before. I had no side effects from this drug at all. Wish I could go bk. on it. Everyone is different so if you do go on it, watch for side effects and tell your Dr. immediately.
