I was told that after the first two injections given two weeks apart, that you do not receive another injection for 6 months. This seems like a long time. can somebody help me with this?
That's the protocol for Rituxan... though some people need another dose after 4 to 5 months, rather than 6.
It targets and wipes out nearly all the CD20 cells in circulation within the first half hour of infusion... Then within a couple weeks the other CD20 cells in the body come out of their hiding places.. and are zapped by the second infusion. It should last at least close to 6 months... the body has to make new CD20 cells, at it takes many moons for it to do this.
Cool protocol, eh?
