How many years should a patient take 10mg of Aricept? Is it effective indefinitely?

Aricept is something that needs to be continued all the time once it is started to have any effect on Alzheimers Disease. 10mg is the standard dose for Aricept. It should not go higher than 5mg. if the person is very frail, but that is up to the individual doctor because they know the condition of their patient better than any one else. Good luck and hope it helps.
