took terbutaline from 28 weeks pregnant till delivery. i took it around the clock and towards the last two weeks of pregnancy my doctor doubled the dose. my son has development delays and speech problems and has been diagnosed w/ mild retardation because hes so behind. why was i never told by my doctor that its not fda approved for pregnancy and just asthma. i looked up terbutaline lawyers and found the risks and my son has 2 and hes going to be having an mri. how good is this drug for ob's to be giving if it has such a bad amount of risks and is only catagory b. i took nifedipine w/ my last baby which is fda approved and my last son has no delays or speech disorders.
I'm not sure about the effects it has on the fetus/baby but the reviews about taking it during pregnancy were positive (but side effects did exist).
