This depends on the addict. If you are a addict with a relatively short abuse time say under 5 years then a 6 week detox might be the way to go. Long term heavy addicts would not benefit from a 6 week detox as their brain chemistry has changed. Once this happens then you have to treat addiction like a disease rather than a affliction.
This is why there is no strict protocol for anyone addict... Good luck..Dave
