I have been taking geodon for a long time and one doctor told me to just have a small snack with my geodon. My new doctor said i have to have at least 500 calories with my geodon for it to work... who is right?
Hi fedupwiththisshit, If you go to the top of this site (where you sign in and out). You can just put in the word Geodon. From what I have read it is a powerful antiphyscotic, which should be used under a supervised person. That is just so if there are any serious side effects there is someone nearby that is aware of your condition. Not to scare you but in your early sixtys (I wouldn't call that elderly) but it does have very serious side effects in the elderly. Like heart failure or sudden death. It does say take with food, if you're not hungry you could always have a nutrional drink (like Ensure) just so the medication coats your stomahce.I would definitly go right back to your doctor and demand a better explanation, this is a question that should really be answered by your doctor because that is what he/she is trained to do. I would like to hear how you made out. Fall Queen
