I have a loved one who i fear is abusing Soma's their behavior has been irratic for a few days... I am desperate to understand how long I can expect this state of zombie like characteristics to last if they are taking multiple pills at once please help.
I too have a loved one who has been a soma abuser for almost 5 years. Soma fortunately has a very short half life, about 2 hours, or longer in some people. My loved one is currently passed out on the couch from it. Its been and on and off thing, she goes on 2 to 4 day binges every two to three weeks or so. It always causes fights and on occasions I've gotten angry and taken some myself and that never helped, just maid things worse on our family. Usually if she gets a full 8 hours of sleep after her last dose which is usually 3 to 6 or sometimes more pills at time. I've noticed she builds up a rapid tolerance when binging and had to take more and more, on each dose to feel the same effects. The day after the binge is over, she feels like crap, but the withdrawal seems pretty short which is typical of short half life drugs. My only hope is that the state of Michigan will make it a schedule IV like many other states have done, or that it will just be banned like it has in several instance overseas.
But anyways they just have to sleep it off and they next day after the final dose they'll feel like crap but usually act sober, no matter what the dose.
