I've been taking percs for about a couple months now... no script just get them from friends to get high. I haven't took a perc in about 32 hours and I cannot sleep, I am so restless, and my feet n hands r drenched in sweat. I usually took one 1 perc 15mg a night.. Only at night. How long until the symptoms r over? I just want to feel normal again!
How long until the withdraw from percocet subsides?

I usually try and smoke a lot of pot to help myself fall asleep at night but I just wake up at 3am n can't go back to sleep. It's horrible!

I literally feel like I'm going to jump out of my own skin! I just don't understand how I can be withdrawing like this because i only took 1 pill a night..only at night time is when I liked to take one. I tried taking an ambien to fall asleep and nothing! I am still wide awake at 5am ...
Withdrawal is different for each person. You have not been using opiates for long so I would think this should abate soon.
Please google The Thomas Recipe for a list of OTC and RX meds you may need while in WD.
Be patient, it takes time to heal opiate receptors after using. I know how horrid the sleeplessness is, but be glad you are not hurling your guts out and other lovely WD symptoms.
IF you begin aching all over, take hot baths.
hello adub91, I may not have the answers to make things a lot better, but I just want you to know that it makes a difference to me, I hope that before long you get some restful sleep, it is hard to lay awake and go through sweats, I have never been through exactly what you are going through, it's been from Chronic pain (Polio earlier in my life) but makes no difference what is causing the problem I want you to know that I want the best for you and hope things get better soon!
Hope this finds you percocet free and feeling better. Trust the folks on this site. You are almost through the worst of it, just hang in there. Opiate withdrawl is no fun, but you will survive. And soon the ability to sleep without medicating with perc's or marijuana will return. Try not to substitute one addiction for another, it becomes a vicious cycle.
If you are still having a problem, let us know and there are many things you can try to ease the symptoms as sweetlemon has shared.
BTW, are you sure you were on 15mg percocet, don't think it comes in that strength, let us know if you need more help

Is it okay to combine these (2) meds? diphenhydramine (simply sleep pills) and oxycodone (percocet)?
