I took Bontril this morning around 9am and went all day without eating because I didn't have an appetite. Bad idea, I had a severe headache and an enormous amount of vomitting.
I realize this answer is very, very late but may help someone in future. You must eat about 30 to 60 mins after taking Bontril.
Yes, it does suppress your appetite but you must eat.
Bontril is far more effective in current use and future maintenance of weight loss if you consume a healthy amount of protein, fat, and complex carbohydrates, eating small meals throughout the day. You may find that you have no appetite, but as you found, not eating will result in making yourself feel very ill or cause you to get sick! Bontril is an aide in weight loss/management, take this time to practice eating correctly & healthfully so you can maintain your loss once you discontinue the medication.
