i'm in 24mg of suboxone right now and im prescribed 2 mg 2 times a day but i just take 1mg when i decrease(the second day).today i had to take more.is that good?.or is it a mistake?
My doctor let's anyone in our program use trazadone& clonidine as long as they want. I have chronically high BP, taking clonidine daily has helped my bp normalize. Doc suggested taking one or two at night if I have trouble sleeping.
I think she does this to give us some safe/non addictive tools to control how we feel without being on benzos. After six months easy times my life n work has gotten very hard and after a long break im taking traz and clonodine again.
I would use clonodine to help tapering and def for quitting.
-pablo, 8months on subs.16mg
P.s. be careful of coming off subs totally too soon. In my case if I had quit at six months when I felt great I would be using now as life has gotten tough and I haven't completely learned how to make it not suck.
You can use the clonidine for as long as you need it. Once you are off the Suboxone you probably won't need it anymore unless you have an anxiety or blood pressure problem. I'm assuming you meant 0.2 mgs twice a day which is the recommended dosage for opiate withdrawal. If you can get by on less then ok, but do not take more than the prescribed amount.
Keep up the good work and let us know how things progress,
