I've been on it for about 9 years and it seems to have stopped working - pain, swelling, tiredness all back. It's been a great drug while it worked but is this the normal time for it to stop?
I was on Enbrel for a short time and my Rheumatologist took me off of it because it caused some adverse reactions. I would go to the prescribing doctor with your question. All drugs get to a point where they stop working because our bodies just work up an immunity to them. This could be the case for you. There are other drugs like Enbrel, which are Remicade, Humira, which my Rheumatologist tells me works better than Enbrel. This might actually be better for you. It might be the time for you to make a switch to a different Med. But only your doctor can tell. Good Luck. I hope you feel better soon.
