My mother was just recently diagnosed, and is worried that she will never be able to do anything again.
This question has also been asked and answered here: Rheumatoid Arthritis - I've started taking methotrexate 2 weeks ago for RA. How long does it take?
Was she given anything else besides it? I was given it to take one day (but 3xs that day) a week along with sulfasalazine and prednisone.
How much of it is she given? How often does she have to take it?
Are biologics being considered for her?
There are more questions to your question here.
methotrexate takes from 3_12 weeks to feel its benefits . Once your mother case be stable she will forget her fairs and live normally, but should not carry heavy things or do much work until be tired . and according to her case she can do some gentle daily exercise to protect hair joints . if she feel pain , she should take some rest .
with my best wishes
