The half life (rate of decay) of methadone is 24-36 hours. You can figure it out exactly mathematically by using the formula: Q=Q(0)e^rt, SOLVE FOR T,
where Q = 0 (the amount of methadone at test time); r = 36, Q(0)=the amount of methadone in your system; and t=time in hours.
