and an Oxy 10 for severe dental pain. Just thinking he might be safe if it has been more than three or four days? Please help...
Most oral meds do leave your system in three days. As for fentynol and oxycontin or oxycodone I am not sure. Those are longer laster opiates. Was the fentynol the patch? That has pain medicine that is suppose to give you relief for three days which I found personally not to be correct. And oxycontin is suppose to last 12 hours. Again not in my case. But I am not sure about how long they take to leave the body. I wonder if you could look it up on the Drugs A to Z tab at the top of this page? I wish I could be more helpful. But I really am not sure. Sorry. Kimmie
I always will try to give an answer that I know to be correct. Both of these medications will be out of his system BETWEEN 3 and 4 days after stopping the meds. These numbers are given in a range of min. and max. days so you can decide on your own if you should probably wait the max. just to be safe. Good luck.
We often give oxycodone 10mg oral, short acting along with duragesic patches dosed in mcg.We don't regularly give Oxycontin ext. release together, but it should not be a problem in an Opioid tolerant patient. Duragesic or fentanyl patches last48 to 72 hours and have an unknown halflife per M.D. reference. Are we talking about the patches or something else? I was gone for a while, nice to talk with you again. Give me more info if you want, maybe i could think of something else. Hope his dental issues get resolved soon!Time for a puppy hug! TW
From personal use of Fentanyl patch it depends on how many micrograms he was on. I have had as low as 10mcg to 50mcg. Higher the number longer it will take to be out of ur system. It should be completely out of system within 3 to 4 days, but withdraw symptoms will last longer maybe months.
Hi its mickey from chicago.. My pain doctor put me on the 100mg patch of fentynol along with perks. I needed to take a drug test for all opiets my patch was a 72 hr patch and the perks i was taking up to 10 a day 15/325's a day. but my insurance company wanted me to take a blood and urine test 5 days is all the time i had, i took the patch off and stop taking the perks all together because i needed them for my severe pain but i was up to 10 to 14 a day.. to make a long story short i stopped all pain meds even thoe they were prescribed by my doctor i didnt want them to know that i was needed them, my insurance company that is. so i waited 5 days and took my test and i came back clean for all of the drugs i mentioned.. i also had the patch on for 3 days and the perks the day i was told i needed to take these test.. so i would say 5 days because i stopped 5 days before i had my drug scrrning done.. Hope i could help ya... Mickey from chicago..
