... didnt really want my employer to know???
vick222, I take clonazepam 2mgs. 2x a day for well over a year they don't begin leaving your system for even approx. 48 hours. They can take a little as 5 days and as long as twenty. You have to factor in certain things like your dosage and how long you have been on them. Some other "benzo's" (like xanax) will leave your system about 8-12 hours since your last dose as they have a very short half-life. As far as your job goes most professional people would never speak about what meds. you are on should they ever get caught it would be a serious breach of the privacy act. Most pre-empolyment drug screens are looking for illegal drugs. Just for instance when I was hired as an animal care specialist, the lab called me first and said I had come up positive for methadone and clonazepam. I sighned a release from my doctor, in that instance my boss never even knew. Of course, I would have to use my meds. responsibly as sometimes I would be working with dogs over 120 lbs., and being in an animal shelter the background of the dog is usually unknown. That in itself would be a reason to think and act quickly. I hope that helped, you should fine Fall Queen
