I read that you take it for 12 weeks. Then some reviews suggested that it is more long term.
Generally, Naltrexone is prescribed for 12 weeks to help people who have stopped drinking to reduce the craving for alcohol during the early days of abstinence when the risk of a relapse is the greatest.
Your doctor will be be able to help you decide how long you need treatment for.
