I was takeing 2 to 3 10 mg. lortabs every day for three years. I quit cold turkey five or six days ago. Had runny nose, anxiety aching muscles. But it was not that bad. But I still cant shake the restkess cravings.
the cravings are the longest part of addiction (this is why people say your an addict forever but thats just not true in my opinion) after about 2 years or so i would say craving are normally gone in a majority of cases but that whole time it will probably pop into your mind every now and then. (i like doing the snapping technique for this:
get a craving
snap a rubberband on your wrist
think of a possitive thing weither its imagry or just telling yourself, i dont need a drug to solve my problems. or i love how i am without drugs, or something like that
Try googling the Thomas recipe opiate withdrawal and read the list. It should mention some supplements that help with the restlessness and you could get the whole recipe's ingredients, or just those that treat the symptoms you have. Walking or other light exercise will help reboot your neurotransmitters and help with the pain after a few days. The cravings, I am not sure are addressed in the recipe, but, they might be. I hope you feel better very soon and I congratulate you.
