I live in transitional housing for women. It's been2 wks since I took valium. On sep 8th I had a ua, positive for benzos. The next day, another ua,negative. The 15th another ua, positive. The 19th naother ua, positive. I went to a hospital yesterday, they did a complete drug screen, NEGATIVE for everything. Why?
Hi marian garrett benzo's are oil based so they can stay in your system for up to 28 days! Just like hash it all depends on how much body fat you have and wether you have been eating regular as when you eat regular a certain amount of the energy is stored as fat (for hard times so your body can burn the body fat for energy) a bit like the layers on a onion in good times adds a layer and vice-versa in starvation mode also your metabolism has a part to play in it all I remeber once in jail I had one 10mg of valium and 21 days later it came up in a urine sample and I lost 28 days remission like I say it depends on a couple of factors but usually 21-28 days hope this explained it somewhat good luck and all the best gbs.London
Wow GBS, I heard this a long time ago from the wife of a pharmacist and hadn't heard it again for a while. I believe you and think that it does matter how much fat a person has holds the benzo for a longer time than the 3 days they teach elsewhere. When I first when on subs, I couldn't eat, had no appetite and tested negative for everything except the subs only 2 weeks later, but, I probably burned up the fat layer that contained them by not eating. The other possible explanation for this is a faulty drug test, it happens and when it does, it is usually the WHOLE batch that were shipped to the place. My counselor said it had happened at the recovery center and she ran a test on herself, it came up positive on her and she did another, same thing, checked around found out likely whole batch was bad and threw them out. I am so glad you posted this info. Thanks. Patti Ps Marian, hang in there and congrats. I hope things get better. If you need support, many of us will be glad to add support, let us know how you are.
