How is Concerta diffrent from Ritilin? What are the diffrences?

Hello Mom of 4. They are very much the same in some ways. They are both prescribed for ADHD. Both can be prescribed for the treatment of Narcolepsy. And both can become habit forming. However, Ritalin is not prescribed for adults who have ADHD. Concerta is. Ritalin and Concerta are both stimulants. Ritalin, can be taken in doses throughout the day, wheras Concerta is usually taken only the one time, reason being its a long acting drug which stays in the body for longer periods of time.
