I just need to know if these potencies are comparable to each other, or if Methadone should be taken less frequently if used as a replacement for the Norco.
Taking 10mgs of methadone would be like taking 100mgs of hydrocodone. If you are taking hydrocodone then you should not take methadone as it's so far out of hydrocodone that you risk ODing. Methadone is for chronic pain patients with a huge tolerence and hydrocodone is one of the weaker opiates. You can really get into trouble here and that's why I'm warning you. Be extremely careful with methadone and don't take it unless it's ordered for you. We have to many people going to bed on kmethadone with a low tolerence and dying in their sleep due to respitory failure...
No ... norco is a mix of small amt of tylenol & hydrocone, lesser of the narcotic pain control meds. Oxycodone 10,15,30 every 4-6 hrs is much stronger & MUCH more addictive as is methadone, Methadone 10 mg, although I have never used this I know is more effective for pain, but again you have the addicton issure. If you have a long term condiction, pls spk to your doc about a long acting med such as ms cotin etc. U dont want to be taking pills every 3-4-6 hrs and this way 2 per day & better pain control + no tylenol to destroy your liver, as always BEWARE of abuse issues... they can ruin your life b 4 u know it Good Luck N
