I take 8-10 percocets in an evening... for recreational use. I was offered a MS Contin 30 (immediate release) and I'm just wondering how this compares? How much to take? etc.
Your question really peaked my interest, I'm not someone who judges others so please don't take offense to the following comments/questions OK :)
First of all, I also take percocet 7.5/325 for break-thru pain for my chronic pain and host of other maladys I have been living with. The percocet I only take one tablet four times a day "if" I need it.
I cannot fathom someone taking 8-10, do you take them all at one time in the evening? If so, aren't you afraid you're setting yourself up for an overdose? That is a lot of pills to take all at one time. And just for the sake of conversation; why do you say you take them for recreational use? Is there nothing else you can find to do besides swallowing a bunch of pills?
My stomach is knots just thinking of what you're doing to yourself.
Most of us with severe chronic pain issues have fight to get our pain under control. Who would offer you MS contin? That too is scary, how can you be sure what this person is really giving you? May I ask? Have you ever been to counseling or re-hab? Is this something you may consider? If you stay on the same track you're on now you're going to be so addicted to this medicaton I was under the impression that you would have to have a docmented injury/chronic pain or surgery in order to be prescribed this narcotic, please re-consider your choice for recreational activities, you're worth more to your friends and family than a handful of pills. Check out some of the other forums here, and see what folks are talking about with regard to the same drugs you mention. The community section I think has a host of posters that are dealing with the very same issues you are.
I hope this helps you, and please do not take offense to this reply, it's just that when someone used this medication for recreational use this is what makes it harder for us who have legitimate need for medication thus making our requests for the drug harder to get prescribed as doctors are so paranoid that "we too" are using them for the "fun" of it.
Again, no offense intended, my best of luck to you. God Bless
