I usually suffer from pain on and off and I was wondering how does one go about talking to the doctor about being able to take your pain medicine through i.v. instead of tablets. I am a phlembotomist so I am well practiced in administering with needles is there a way, or is there only special cases?
I am not in the medical field but pretty safe in saying that ur dr is going to suggest several other treatments before it gets to I.V pain meds for pain off and on. And i don't think any dr would tell u to do an I.V or inject pain meds on urself, they would have a nurse do that or the dr themself. i may have misunderstood what exactly u r asking. i hope i didn't offend u if i misunderstood u.
