Since withdrawal symptoms from Xanax are more psychological than physical, I think that combining a few healthy processes at once will provide a good opportunity to work through a withdrawal phase: regular guided meditation, natural agents such as valerian root, chamomile (which you can deliver to your body via a nice herbal tea, the ritual and ingredients of which will both provide a calming and healthy replacement experience).
