My Mirena has been in for four years now, so soon I will need removal. The strings have been pushed INTO the uterus with the device. It is still in place, as they did a CAT scan and an Xray and saw it was still where it should be. But since a dr can't get to the strings to remove it, does anyone know what it will take to remove the device? Will my cervix have to be dilated?
How do they remove Mirena when the strings are gone?
