I have been taking this medicine for 4 years and not seeing any change. At 46 I am deciding to go vegetarian and know this can turn my body back to health and have a positive result in this area as well. I began taking Juice Plus+ (juicing in capsule form) It is a phenominal product. I have heard so many good testimonies from people using it, I just had to try it. So, I don't want to do the "meds" thing anymore. It seems stupid to stay on something that hasn't made any change in my life.
I understand wanting to feel better and trying to get toxins out of the body but there is no natural product that can replace what the thyroid does or that the medication does. You may have pretty bad symptoms if you come off of it, that is up to you, I try to respect everyone's opinion. If you do start to have problems when you get off of this, please ask your doctor what your alternatives are. The thyroid is one of 2 major glands in the endocrine system that helps run many systems in the body. The other is the pituitary gland. They send out chemical signals to all the other glands in the endocrine system. You did not list what symptoms you were having before they put you on this medication. You are also near the age where a woman might be in menopause, so, if you stop that medication, expect problems with your hormones really quickly.
