I've been taking microgestin fe 1/20 for almost a month now and this is my first time taking any form of birth control. 3 weeks into the pack i started experiencing break through bleeding and it was somewhat close to a normal flow. Now this week i'm on the brown pills and i'm barely spotting, definitely not as heavy as the week before. Was that my period last week or is still going to come this week? And if not could that mean i'm pregnant?
It does sound like you may have had your cycle early and are still finishing. If you took the 21 active pills each day and didn't miss any or take any really late, like 12 hours, you shouldn't be fine, even on the inactive brown pills. You didn't say if you had unprotected sex before you took the 21 pills or not, if you are really worried, take a home pregnancy test but you probably aren't with that bleeding you had. Birth control pills take about 3 months to completely regulate your cycle and you may even have some nausea for the first 3 months, you can have any of the pregnancy symptoms of the first trimester during that 3 months but still NOT be pregnant. Try to take your pills as close to exactly 24 hours apart and it helps regulate you a bit faster and cuts down on the break thru bleeding.
