I want to ask my doctor for some oxycontin, but i find it hard to ask my doctor if I can get it... help!
Oxycontin is such a powerful and highly addicting medication that you might have to have such pain that you need a pain management doctor to get it. It is given when there is intense pain and almost no other recourse. If you are going to a walk in clinic or an ob/gyn and trying to get it, I can almost guarantee you, you are going to get turned down. You may be able to get it, but, they have really cracked down on the doctors for prescribing it too freely. You are going to have to at least tell him how much pain you are in and he will have to be in agreement that you need that kind of narcotic.
