my doc. said my test showed i had methadone in my system when i do not take methadone.
One resource I looked up stated that two of the medications, one an antibiotic class called fluoroquinolones (levaquin) and the second medication rifampin, for tuberculosis caused false positives for some opiates in some types of primary testing. But with the more advanced testing techniques, one can tell if you took an aspirin 3 days ago. I'm sure there is a reason, probably something I have no idea about, but there are other medications out there that cause false positives, our favorite one being poppy seeds and opium. Go figure
