i am a diabetic for 22 yrs, still out of control. Now my doctor says my kidney has been affected, and prescribed 10MG Lisinopril.
How can lisinopril help with a kidney problem?
Added 21 Oct 2009:
I have never had a heart or pressure problem and the doctor is saying the the out of control diabetes is causing the kidney problem.
Lisinopril is used to lower high blood pressure and for certain heart conditions. Did the doctor mentione either of these to you? Your heart or blood pressure may be causing the kidney problem, I am not sure. Maybe you could call the nurse and have them clarify this for you. If it treats kidney problems, I am not aware of that. I guess it could though.
