I feel like doctors jump to conclusions and treat me like a druggie. Meanwhile, I can hardle walk to the other side of the room as a result of endometriosis, fibroids, and twisted tubes. My case is rare, they say my only option is a hysterectomy, but I want a baby!
Hi, I am Joanne and I can completly relaate to your problem. I was on Methadonf FOR PAIN and after 10 yrs. my Dr. deceide he wass letting go of his cronic pain patients. I was put on Methadone by a pain specialist but my GP had to write the RX's. Long story short my Dr. did not live up to his end of the contract and I was lefy hanging out there in severe withdrawl. Every ER I wwent to treated me like an a druggie and would not treat me, the same with any new Dr. I made an appt. with. Kept getting "Can't help you" My pain is so severe many days I cannot get out of bed. About 1 year later with nothing for pain I found a Dr. (who read the 4 page assesment from pain spec.) and put me on Fentyal Patch 100mg. every 48 hrs. after 3 years , same story, he was letting go of patients like me. I suggesdt yoy look up Pain Foundation.com they may be able to help stear you in the right connection.
I really beiieve with my whole hart tat those of us in severe pain are being cast aside and I often wonder if there are really any Dr.'s out there who care. Perhaps the ones who are in pain themselves. I wish you luck and pray for you to have apain free life that we are all entitled to. Joanne
First off most gynocologists do not like to Rx pain meds. Secondly I know that there are other options for you besides a hysterectomy. Have you had a laproscope to diagnose your twisted tubes? And if so why was there not an attempt repair your tubes? I have suffered for years with gyn problems and even after a total hysterectomy I had to undergo another surgery to remove ovary tissue that grew back on my bowels and left ureter. It is called ovarian remnant syndrome. I was not able to have surgery done by a laproscope after the first one due to the amount of adhesions I have so I have had five operations where I was opened from the pubic area to the belly button and I am always in severe pain.
Sorry back to your problem. Have they mentioned lupron for your endo? I do not understand why you say your case is rare it is very common maybe you need to see a good gynocologist. I may sound harsh but I have been through 19 years of gyn problems treated with meds and surgeries at young age. Never could have children tubes and ovarious damaged from ruptured cysts. I do not know how old you are but if you are under 40 years old then you have to look for another doctor because a hysterectomy is not the only option,. In fact a good gyno would try to treat you and the last thing would be a hyster.
Hope this helps you and keep me posted ok. I would like to know how you make out.
