I take sleeping pills which are designed to last 8 hours, but it takes me a while to sleep or I can't get back to sleep when I wake up. My mind will not shut off and relax.
Have you ever tried Melatonin? It can work well for insomnia, yet it does not work every night. 'Tis a natural product and can be purchased at any pharmacy.
Perhaps you've built up a tolerance to your sleep aid. Ask your doc for a new one, see how that goes.
