I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago at the age of 39. My left ovary was left in place to lessen my chances of having to use HRT. I never had any symptoms of menopause at all but now 5 years later at the age of 44 I'm having terrible hot flashes. Is it possible to start having symptoms after so many years?
Its probably that you're starting menopause. I was 43 when I started. See your gyne about it.
This is happening to me as well, the exact same thing. I had my last child in 2010 and I had my uterus removed at that time, I still have my ovaries. Not periods for 5 years and for the past 2 months, I have been experiencing severe hot flashes! When will they go away and why are they here now? I'm awakened at night as well with the sweating.
