I've been on lots of meds. n Lexapro stopped working. Hoping this works fast. I've heard lots of people say it causes nausea.
I have been using Brintellex since March for MDD (50 years now). It appears to be working better than Viibryd, with fewer side effects.
It differentiates from placebo in about 2 weeks with full effectiveness at 6-8 weeks. Start-up had some nausea the first week and it abated quickly, but your experience may be different. Some people have reported some lower GI-tract issues in the first week. I was spared. All start-up problems appear to be in the first 5-7 days.
Good luck and keep your doctor informed of any issues you have physically or mentally.
Lex stopped working for me too. (3 yrs). I am switching to Brintell today also. Since there are nausea concerns, I'll take with food and something for digestion. Maybe that will help. Only took 5 mg of both meds to wean myself off Lex. Haven't noticed anything different, but I'm willing to wait. (What choice do we have).
