Hi everyone.. Well this past Saturday I had my annual physical and today I was notified that my A1C level was 5.9 which puts me in the prediabetes bracket. I'm absolutely petrified and upset with myself for letting myself get to my current weight and situation at hand. I know that with vigorous excercise and lifestyle changes I can overcome this. I am overweight (269 pounds-- I gained 30 pounds since last year) and I plan on seeing a nutritionist whom I went to 10 years ago and did well with. My appointment is already set up for next week and now my doc wants me to see an endocrinologist. Also, my cholesterol and blood pressure were perfect.
I'm wondering if anyone here has been able to work through prediabetes and come out healthier and has steered far away from type 2?
