I used my uncles soap who has HIV. I only used it on the top of my wrist before I realized it and put it down. I don't have any broken skin, but I do have a small scar that's old and eczema. I'm sure this is a stupid question but I'm still freaking out. Help please!
Maddie, No you will not get HIV from washing your hands with a bar of soap your uncle uses. There would have to be a direct fluid transfer from him to you. Relax, you can go to the local community health center and get tested if you are still freaked out. It is confidential and quick and most often free.
I was diagnosed with HIV in 1989 and my husband was diagnosed with full blown AIDS at the same time. He passed away in 1991. No you can not get HIV from using your uncles soap. I hope my answer helps and the only way to find out about something you do not know about is to ask!
