I am 90 years old and I Had a Partial Hip Replacement(HEMIARTHROPLASTY) in1998.The Ball of the RHS femoral was smashed after a nasty fall. The Thompson?brand solid metal prosthesis was cemented in.
It is called a “Moore’s” here in Australia.I managed reasonably OK with the pain on and off for so long, but the pain lately has become unbearable, which has restricted me to move painfully only around the house.
Is it worth the trouble at this stage of my life, to have a revision THR, considering the risks involved and all the other consequences after the operation?
Has any one with similar circumstances had a revision THR.Please share with me your experiences.I will very much appreciate any Information on the matter.Nick".
