Tai chi is very low impact so give it a go; I'm hip replacement person too (uneven length legs now) and my back which is severely osteoporotic brings tears to my eyes at times. I'm afraid of falling over as it takes ages to get off the ground again. I'm about to pony up the $$ for accupuncture which I don't really believe in but some people swear it is miraculous.
By the way, did you have both hips done at the same time? If you did you must be a hero.
