Vitamin D deficiency but noticing alarming rate of muscle cramps is it safe to take magnesium
High dosage of Vitamin D taken with magnesium might cause calcium deposits or hypercalcemia. Normally you can take them together if the Vitamin D dosage is 400mg daily. As you stated above, I think you take more than 400mg of Vitamin D daily. Talk to your doctor about a blood test to ensure that the Vitamin D and calcium level is in the normal range after a 10 weeks therapy. If your Vitamin D level falls below 50, then that's low. Also, I would like to know if you are taking Vitamin D2 or Vitamin D3 as it does make a difference.
