Going to be having surgery in a week. Very nervous. I called my doctor they said drink more water, watch salt which I do. I also have had fluid in my legs for about 8 months. Doctor will not give me fluid pills. Have appointment next week. What do I do till then?
Why won't the dr give you fluid pills? My bp skyrockets when I'm retaining water. They really should get it down before surgery. Try to relax, worrying about surgery isn't helping you. Do you watch the salt in food, like in canned and prepared foods? There are some foods that are natural water pills, like cucumbers and caffeine.
